New Scale Robotics is a Corporate Strategic Partner of the NCATC (National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers). We are excited by their mission of workforce development with a focus on smart automation for manufacturing!
This month we teamed up with Universal Robots for an educational webinar hosted by NCATC.
In our talk, Automated Metrology 101: Adding Robotics & Quality to Manufacturing Education, we explained how collaborative robots are used in manufacturing to automate quality control processes. We presented an overview of our innovative metrology and robotics course materials that include hands-on learning with a Q-Span Workstation Kit and UR robot.

NCATC advocates, advises, and promotes the use of advanced technology applications to enhance economic and workforce development programs and services. Its focus areas are:
1) The Future of the Workforce including Smart Automation and Manufacturing.
2) Apprenticeships, Work-Based Learning and Entrepreneurship in Workforce Development. Experiences such as internships, co-ops and apprenticeships enable students to apply concepts learned in the classroom while acquiring skills that are essential in the workplace.
3) Competency-Based Learning and Industry-Recognized Credentials in education and the workplace.
4) Adult Learning, recognizing that the growing demand in manufacturing and “new-collar” jobs cannot be addressed without focused and equitable development of the adult learner population. NCATC supports innovative and accelerated advanced technology educational pathways that integrate career technical and adult education.
